Lexiqo is a word game. This page explains how we handle personal data on this website and in the Lexiqo mobile apps (iOS and Android).
Data we collect
This website does not require an account and does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.
If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and the content of your message.
Lexiqo mobile apps and optional account
In the Lexiqo mobile apps (iOS and Android), you may optionally create an account. If you do, we collect your email address and a password. The password is stored only in hashed form on our servers; the apps never store your password. On your device, the apps store only session tokens and your email for display.
We use this data to create and manage your account and to provide the service. Account data is kept until you delete your account or request deletion.
How we use data
We use data only to respond to you, operate the service, improve Lexiqo, and prevent abuse.
Anonymous gameplay analytics
To improve the game scoring system, we collect anonymous gameplay data: words you guess, their similarity scores, and technical scoring parameters. This data is NOT linked to your account, device, or identity. We use it solely to improve game balance and scoring accuracy.
Daily reminder notifications
The mobile apps may offer a daily reminder notification (e.g. at 08:30 local time) to remind you that a new word is available. We ask for your consent at first launch or when you enable this feature in Settings. The notification content (yesterday's word) is fetched by the app at the scheduled time and displayed locally; we do not send this reminder from our servers. You can disable this at any time in Settings → Daily Reminder.
Team notifications (push)
If you have an account and play in team mode, we may store your device's push token (FCM/APNs) to send you notifications when a teammate plays or finds the word. This is optional and can be disabled in Settings → Team notifications. We use this data solely to deliver team-related notifications.
Analytics & crash reporting
The mobile apps use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports. This data is not linked to your account or identity and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not use advertising identifiers. You can learn more about how Google handles Firebase data at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, then delete or anonymize it when possible.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, or object to processing of your personal data.
